Drive-thru COVID testing hours extend through Dec. 2020

St. Claire HealthCare’s free COVID-19 drive-thru testing service will remain operational until Dec. 31, 2020. Information on free testing in 2021 will be provided when it becomes available. St. Claire HealthCare continues to offer COVID-19 testing outside the St. Claire Medical Pavilion for anyone who wants to be tested. Starbucks coming to Morehead

September 18, 2020FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEMOREHEAD, Ky.—A new Starbucks is coming to the Morehead area, officials said Friday morning. The new business will be located near the I-64 exit. The multinational chain, known for its coffee, tea and espresso concoctions, will be at 475 Hampton Way. The business will also have a drive-through. Planters provide much-needed spark of hope on Main Street

MOREHEAD, Ky. — In a collaboration of city, University, and community members, a pop of color has been added to main street. The idea for the tree planters lining downtown Morehead began at a recent meeting of the Morehead-Rowan Co. NewCity Community Development Corporation.   The project was carried out by volunteer Melissa Yungbluth. Yungbluth is the gallery director, director of the Arts Entrepreneurship program and an instructor of art and printmaking for Morehead State University’s Department of Art and Design. Restrooms at City Parks reopened

MOREHEAD, Ky. — As of July 17, 2020, the restrooms at Don Greenhill City Park and Rodburn Park will be reopened to the public. Restrooms were closed in March until further information was available about the spread of COVID-19.    The restrooms will now be available to the public with a plan that includes specific disinfection times by City employees to keep our community safe and healthy. City of Morehead playground and outdoor basketball courts reopen

MOREHEAD, Ky. — As of July 15, 2020, the playground at the Don Greenhill City Park will be reopened to the public. Families are asked to practice social distancing while using the equipment. Hand sanitizing stations will be available. Please keep six feet apart from people outside of your family or group while on the playground.   The outdoor basketball courts located in the Don Greenhill City Park will also reopen at this time. Mayor appointed by Gov. to AgriTech Advisory Council
